Everyone has a past, present, and future.... Learn from your past, live in the present, and build for your future .
VRC provides at risk young adults the opportunity to serve their court ordered community services hours through our program. VRC offers 50 community service credit hours. These hours are split into 24 vocational training hours, 16 life coaching hours, and 10 hours of evaluation and follow up.
During the vocational hours of the program each participant will gain ability and confidence in achievement. Each participant will work toward a goal of meeting a need in the community with purpose and pride. We also offer in the last four vocational hours a generalized maintenance instruction which will enable the participant to be competent in maintaining their own vehicle for the future. During time spent with a life coach each participant will address any need that has been identified with the Adult Needs and Strengths model offering solutions to circumstances that may have fostered at risk behaviors. We will focus on the strengths of our participants to empower them to achieve success. Each participant will receive individualized support by our amazing staff with every step forward through our program. Education is an important aspect of our mission because we believe it is a key to self-reliance. Every participant will be coached on the opportunities available to them in higher education. We will introduce local vocational programs and accredited degree programs. Our goal is to work with local establishments to provide our participants a direct path to registration, selecting a degree, and financial aid to eliminate the hassles or confusion that might have otherwise deterred them. We are not training mechanics, we are assisting and encouraging an individual on their path towards a positive future. |
